VOLUNTEER YOUTH PASTOR

Mt. Zion Baptist Church – Woodlawn is seeking a Volunteer Youth Pastor with a heart for children, youth, and developing the next generation of Christian disciples.
This opportunity is ideal for an emerging minister, licensed minister, seminarian, ministry student, or individual discerning a call to pastoral ministry who desires hands-on ministry experience, pastoral mentoring, and an opportunity to grow in ministry leadership.
The Opportunity
The Volunteer Youth Pastor will:
Provide spiritual leadership and discipleship for our children and youth.
Help develop youth Bible studies, activities, outreach, and fellowship opportunities.
Work collaboratively with parents and existing Children & Youth Ministry volunteers.
Encourage greater youth participation in the life and worship of the church.
Receive regular mentoring and ministry development from the Senior Pastor.
Have opportunities for teaching, preaching, worship leadership, pastoral ministry, and practical church leadership experience.
When invited to preach, the Volunteer Youth Pastor will receive the church's customary preaching honorarium.
Candidates should demonstrate Christian character, spiritual maturity, dependability, a heart for young people, and a desire to grow in ministry.
Position: Volunteer/Unpaid
Term: One-year appointment, renewable
Reports to: Senior Pastor
Location: Cincinnati, Ohio
Because this ministry involves children and youth, the selected candidate must successfully complete a background check and all required child-safety screening.
