YouthPastor.com - Chris Clayton : As one of the up and coming worship leaders today, Chris Clayton has a true desire and passion for people to live their lives each moment in wonder of the One who gives real life. "My prayer is that people will be reminded that we serve and worship a holy God who is more than we can ever fathom. Sometimes I feel that we often 'tip our hat' to God and go about our week without ever encountering Him and recognizing Him for the Holy One that He is.” Clayton says.

Chris serves as a worship leader traveling the United States leading worship in various youth, college and young adult capacities. Since 2000, Chris has traveled on a full time basis with a heartbeat to lead authentic worship. “For me, it isn’t about going out and pounding a Bible over a person’s head, but instead striving to reflect God in everything I do. Worship is more about a lifestyle than any song written or any service on a Sunday morning.”

Chris first began leading in the local church in his youth group and later attended Dallas Baptist University where he spent a good bit of his four years leading worship at both campus-wide Bible studies, as well as maintaining a steady travel schedule leading in various outside events. Since the beginning, God has blessed Chris with the opportunity to be a part of many events, including Disciple-NOW’s, retreats, camps, rallies and revivals – leading hundreds of students and adults in worship.

Chris’ latest CD, In Wonder is the follow up to his debut worship CD, Know You More. “Over the last 2 years God has revealed Himself to me in so many new ways that have only caused me to trust Him and revere Him more. Ultimately, He has been faithful! The results are songs of celebration, songs of intimacy and songs of healing."

In addition to touring, Chris works as an independent producer/engineer at his studio called The Loft, and is a part of the worship/creative arts staff at 121 Community Church in Grapevine, TX. Chris Clayton resides in the Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX area with his wife Kara and their two boy's, Corbin & Callen.

"I am never that impressed with quality, even though it was there, I am always impressed though with worship leaders that have integrity and hearts of worship themselves - that is what you will find in Chris Clayton."

"Chris Clayton has been a part of 121 Community Church for several years now. It has been a privilege to watch him continually grow deep in his faith with each passing day. He has served behind the scenes in our church with a deep passion as well as leading in front of our church with the same passion. I have also had the opportunity to serve with him in places outside 121 and have found Chris to be consistent in who he is and what he does regardless of the setting. His love for the Lord, for his family, and for those around him mark him as a man seeking after God."

"Chris Clayton has a heartbeat for worship. He has the ability to connect on a special level as well as the ability to listen and lead at the same time. His talent is matchless and his heart is pure. Chris has impacted our ministry on several occasions and we have invited him back at our students request. He is a rare breed."

"To lead in authentic worship requires a leader that is authentic in their walk. This describes Chris Clayton. Chris and I worked together for a year and God used Chris and his band to lead our students back into the realm of authentic worship. I highly recommend Chris to you."
