Description: Better Than Average began their musical careers as individuals all at different times, however as a band BTA started back in late 2001. Although BTA’s musical style has matured, it is still the same three members belting out the music that they love. Hailing from the rather unknown place of Winter Haven in Polk County, Florida they spend a lot of time playing in the very close market of Orlando. Having toured all over the state of FL and even some dates through the South East, BTA will soon be sharing their music to “soon to be” fans all over the US coming this summer. In addition to touring, BTA has also had radio airplay at stations ranging from Texas, Virginia, and Florida. Included in that was their first addition to be on a punk compilation soon to be released by Midcoast records. In their time together BTA has opened up for major recording artist like Sonicflood, KJ-52, GS Megaphone, Justified, East West, The Elms, and By the Tree….and played at popular local venues, and national venues as well like: The Hard Rock Café in Atlanta, GA. The Last Wave Club, and Backbooth Club in Orlando, FL. Murray Hill Theatre in Jacksonville, FL. City Lights in St. Pete, FL.
Adding most recently to their credential’s is BTA’s first endorsement by Screamline. Screamline is an extreme sports, and music clothing line. They have endorsed major artist in the past like Creed, Tantric, Sevendust, & Virgos. With their most recent release of their latest EP simply self titled, BTA has begun to draw comparisons to musical artists and icons like Green Day, Blink 182, New Found Glory, Taking Back Sunday, Relient K, Starting Line, Early November, Eve 6, and even Jimmy Eat World. With all of this and more coming onto the scene for BTA, don’t expect them to be slowing down anytime soon. As a matter of fact be on the look out for an upcoming tour, and a new album to be released shortly
