Larry has been involved in student ministry since 1988 and has served at various churches in Bakersfield, CA, Park Ridge, IL and Madison, WI. He has directed area-wide student events and has a passion for both evangelism and discipleship. He actively promotes the training of students for effective relational evangelism and feels strongly that they will be the generation that fulfills the Great Commission in their lifetime.
Larry has done a lot of writing in both student ministry magazines and in his work with networking other youth groups. Larry has started youth ministry networks in California, Wisconsin and now here in Canton. He is an avid advocate for building bridges of racial reconciliation with other ethnicities and also for building those same bridges between different denominations.
Larry has spoken to a variety of different audiences over the years in his ministry. He has spoken at leadership training conferences, student events, on various campuses and also at a host of camps. He continues to do this ministry while here at Calvary.
Finally, Larry has a passion for Christ followed closely by a passion for his family. He loves the time he has to be with all of them, whether it be playing soccer (a “Machonga Mainstay”), doing the family fun jar or having one-on-ones. He adores his wife of almost 19 years and all of his sons.
