God's lead of love brings us through the times when we leave the straight and narrow. It's better to have the wisdom and pain that brings you to your knees than be a comfortable old fool.
Our hearts can grow cold and hard after we have been hurt or let down by those we love. God wants us to give Him our petrified hearts so that He may break them and submit our hearts fully to Him.
This song talks of the waste that it is to look around for a partner. Instead the writer urges the audience to trust God to bring the right person in His timing but He acknowledges that loneliness it tough. "If the birds and the flowers survive then I'll make it ok."
God's truth and grace are shown to the world through His faithful, but praise Him that it isn't dependent on our execution. Our short-comings get in the way, but that doesn't negate God's love, grace and truth.
God has a calling for all of us and when we choose to run from His calling we find that it is pointless and often painful. God's will is always fulfilled. It is up to you to decide how His will is accomplished. You can try to do things your way and ultimately God putting you where you are supposed to be or do things His way from the get go.
