The song reflects her relationship with her husband, but parallels the love and grace of God His children. He will never leave us of forsake us. Sometimes it just takes us a while to truly believe and trust this.

It was most inspired by Tiffany's homeless uncle who is proof that being homeless doesn't mean just being financially poor. It can also mean being without hope. You must have hope to truly survive.
A mildly sarcastic look at people who aren't satisfy with their own life, so they tend to put people they envy on a pedestal. Instead, they need to accept who they are in Christ.
