Lesson: Lukewarm

Being Lukewarm

Introduction- game leading to all or nothing. Reward if you do it none if you don't.
- prepare 2 cups of water. 1 warm and one cold. Pick 2 people to drink of each. Think about which you liked better. Bring it into lesson later.

I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other. So, because you are lukewarm--neither hot nor cold--I am about to spit you out of my mouth. (Rev. 3:15-16)

Drinks--Which one like better? Summer-Cold glass of cooling ice water. Winter-hot cup of hot choco. If it is not one or the other what good is it?

Define Cold

Define Hot
-God #1
-Burning desire to follow
-In Gods will
-Loves God
-Searching for God's call
-Tool of God
-Hunger and thirst for God(without it would die)
-*Love relationship(how you feel about boyfriend\girlfriend) If you hurt Him you are hurt

Define Lukewarm
-Living both sides
-Searching but falling short
-Hypocrite
-Causes others to fall (stumbling block to others) (Do not teach other gospel other....)

DECISION
We can't compare ourselves to others in order to justify our deeds. (Well, he's doing it.) In a race, a coach may ask for you to run against the fastest runner. Why?

If he put you with slowest runner you wouldn't have to try as hard and it would make you look good easily with no effort. Run with the big boyz and become faster and better!

What do you want? Hot or Cold?

Hot-- is not perfect but you have a love relationship hurts when you hurt God

Cold --Satan, death, hell!

You can only serve one. God or Satan (Matthew--Count the cost.)
