Youth Pastor/Director/Minister/Coordinator (Huntington, WV)

Highlawn Baptist Church of Huntington, WV is seeking an experienced, Godly man as a full time Minister of Youth. This position is under the supervision of the Senior Pastor and will be responsible for providing leadership to students Grade 6 through College. The Minister of Youth will encourage them in their spiritual walk as well as provide Christian fellowship through games, outings, mission trips, and other appropriate activities. Applicant should have a calling, vision, and strategy for the youth ministry while working closely with the other Pastors, Christian Education Team, teachers, parents, and volunteers.
Benefits package including continuing education available, with compensation to be determined.
Qualifications:
1.Must be a born-again Christian, at least 21 years of age and demonstrate the spiritual and emotional maturity to oversee the youth ministry at HBC.
2.Must be or become a member of Highlawn Baptist Church, (a Southern Baptist church), and support its Articles of Faith, Constitution, and By-Laws.
3.College or seminary training in Youth Ministry is preferred.
4.Must have a love and concern for youth and young adults and desire to instruct and nurture them in Christ.
5.Must be proficient in administrative and supervisory skills while maintaining a Christ-like attitude to work in harmony with youth and their parents, as well as church staff, youth leaders, volunteers and others.
