Job Description Youth for Christ Utah is a Satellite of the Denver Area office.

Position Title: Teen Parents Director
Reports To: Craig Rosentrater, Executive Director of Denver Area YFC (in Denver)
Works with a local Steering Committee (in Roy, UT)
Full/Part Time: 40 hours/week

Primary Goal:
The primary goal of the position is to direct and give vision to the ministry of the Teen Parents Community.

Personal Qualities:
The Teen Parents Director should have a vibrant, growing, and consistent relationship with the heavenly Father, fueled by the Spirit of God through a real-life relationship with Jesus Christ. He/she should possess the following qualities: servant’s heart, passion for young people, strong leadership skills, heart for evangelism, innovative, creative, and Biblically based.

Areas of Responsibility
1. MOBILIZATION – activities and investment of time and energy into other people to accomplish effective ministry.

2. MINISTRY – evangelism and discipleship activities to accomplish relational ministry with young people

3. MANAGEMENT – administrative tasks and assignments; also personal development/training activities

4. MONEY – activities and investment of time and energy into developing financial resources; donor support

5. MISSIONARY – church contacting, church visibility, and networking; serving in your home church

6. ME – accountability; being vs. doing; connected to the Vine; invest into my spiritual well-being; prayer

Required Experience:
• Experience as a supervisor/manager/counselor
• Experience working with Teen Parents
• Have a working understanding of human developmental stages
• Exhibit good organizational and planning skills
• Exhibit good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Exhibit Fund-raising skills
• Be self-directed
• Have good understanding of Christian beliefs and how that is lived out, in addition to a good understanding of the Bible
• Passion for young people to know Christ
• At least a Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university (some Bible college or Seminary desired)
