I have often heard pastors speak of Jesus Christ as being either a lunatic, a liar, or Lord. As followers of Christ, I believe that we likewise have to be crazy, liars, or we believe the truth. If we walk with Christ, then other people will hopefully see that what we believe is the truth.
Being grounded in your faith and believing what you believe because you believe it, not because someone told you to. Respecting the one who gave you the ability to have that choice.
Scripture is not a matter of one's own interpretation... men that were moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God. The Bible and our faith could never have been invented by any man.
Jesus is speaking in the verses, I'm speaking the the choruses. It's about having faith in the face of the unknown. It's hard for me to let go of the reigns.
We won't always know when, where or how God's will for our lives will fall into place, but we must be ready to ste out on faith. God told us He would never give a burden or temptation we could not bear, but that He would be there to bear it. He is always faithful in coming through in His perfect timing and with flying colors of a rainbow.
While on our first trip to Alaska, we witnessed a man in a ninja-like stance practicing with his nun-chuks right next to the freeway. This is just one of the many things you see when you are continually driving around this country playing shows.
I Will Not Bow is based on the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego. These three followers of God would not bow down when the king told them so they got cast into the furnace. We show that you should base your life just like those three, because if you do not bow to false idols, then God will make it so you will not burn.
