Youth Ministry Games : Messy Backyard

Game: Break group into medium sized teams and divide the playing area in half (by tape, pre-existing line, etc.). Place half of the newspaper wads within each teams area. We use a 45 second timer to let the kids "clean their backyard" by throwing their trash into the other team's 'yard'.

Countdown of last five seconds will allow the kids not to throw any trash after the time limit. Thrown trash after the time limit results in disqualification (could be changed to double trash count, etc.)

Caution: The kids will learn to gather their trash and drop it into the other's backyard with minimal time remaining.
