Youth Ministry Games : Free Morphius

This was for our Matrix theme night. Separate into two teams and separate the room in two. One team is the freedom fighters and they send one teammate to sit in a chair behind enemy lines. The other team is the agents. Only three agents can be playing at any one time and they have to wear dark sunglasses. The rest of the agents teammates line up against a far wall and can't interfere with the game. The game is played like dodgeball, if a freedom fighter is hit, he or she is out. If an agent gets hit they have to run to their teammates against the far wall and give them their glasses and then the new agent is in. The object of the game for the agents is to kill all the freedom fighters. The freedom fighters are trying to free Morphius and they win when Morphius gets up from the chair and runs to friendly territory. However, if Morphius is tagged by an agent after getting out of his chair the game is over and the agents win. So the freedom fighters have to elimiate enough agents so that Morphius can saftly get across the line. We even let the agents keep a hand on Morphius, but that person obviously becomes a major target to the freedom fighters. The chair has to be close enough to the freedom fighters that they can hit a nearby agent. Don't let agents hide behind the chair. This game was a awesome fun.
